If you need power on the go, The Infinit Solar Charging Bag delivers it. The bag utilizes a high quality 2.4w photovoltaic (solar) panel to harvest power from natural light (Bright Sunlight, Standard Daylight and Artificial Light). Once the energy is captured it gets converted into re-usable power that is stored in a high-capacity rechargeable battery.
The rechargeable battery provides an immediate source of power to your gadgets and delivers enough energy to charge up to two mobile phones from empty.
The internal battery can also be charged using an AC adaptor or via a USB connectivity cable, both included.
The bag is sold with adaptors for Blackberry, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG, Motorola, Tom Tom and any other micro or mini usb powered device. Apple products can be charged by simply utilizing the plug-in Apple connectivity cable.
Infinit designed their Solar Bag for function and durability. However they also gave a strong nod to its lifestyle features. They designed it to be lightweight for comfort (3lbs), compact enough to fit into overhead flight storage compartments (17.5” x 14.5” x 4.5” with a 25 litre capacity), airport security friendly, and stylish.
So far the bag is getting top reviews. Sandra Vogel, a freelance journalist for ZDNet wrote, “The good news is that it does work, it produces more power than I’ve got from any other solar device I’ve used, and I am now using it on a regular basis and finding I can avoid about half the mains power charging I was doing before.”
EarthTechling also gave it high marks, “Armed with a 2.4W solar panel on its front that stores renewable energy in a hidden battery, the Solar Bag is as versatile as it is voluminous.”
As part of the company's social and environmental policy it makes a donation to SolarAid.org for every Infinit Solar Bag purchase made on its website.
The Infinit Solar Backpack retails at £89.99 in the UK and ships Worldwide. The solar bag will be launching in the US, Australia and New Zealand in the next couple of months.
