Installing Solar Power

There are some very good reasons to install solar. The good news is that you:

- Receive rebates from Federal, State and Local government. Tax credits, as of 2008, are usually available for solar power. Providing tax credits is based on legislative decision with a limited time frame. So, if rebates are currently available, consider taking advantage of them now before they expire.
- Increase your home’s value which increases resale value for up to 40 years.
- Generate energy that protects your neighborhood from power outages.
- Protect the earth and all life by reducing your carbon footprint.
Solar photovoltaic has been a solid and reliable technology for some time. And now with the resurgence of mass interest in solar energy there are more and better solar installation providers than ever before. But you do need to choose wisely by selecting the right system and the right installer that meets your needs.
Adding solar PV to your home is easy if you follow some basic common sense steps. Consider these factors:
- Look for local resources to get more information. Take a class, attend a homeowner’s solar energy event, and tour homes that have installed solar PV to get good ideas and gain more confidence about the process.
